(Rec. 11.10') SYDNEY, Jan. 20 Masquerading as taxation officials, three bandits, to-day. forced their way into a house in the Sydney suburb of Kogarah. They battered a sixty-year-old man unconscious with a steel sharpener. They punched his 50-year-old sister, and forced her to open the safe. They removed thirtysix pounds from the safe and escaped in a car.

The man was admitted to hospital suffering from severe cuts and bruises to the head and chest.
