BRITISH INDUSTRY REVIVAL PREDICTED
NEW YORK, June 24. The Americans should not make the mistake thinking British industry was out of step with the Labour Government, declared Sir Frederick Bain, President of the Federation of British Industries, in a speech. Britain had made important strides towards recovering her prewar production and rate of exports. “We are in difficulty at the moment,
but if anybody thinks Britain is never again going to be the world’s be2*. customer, and the world’s best supplier, he is wrong.”
