FRENCH ECONOMY POLICY UPHELD BY UPPER HOUSE
(Rec. 9.50). FARIS, June 25. The Council of the Republic, the Upper House, has adopted the Government’s Austerity Bill after an allnight sitting. It did so by 140 votes to 103. The Cabinet has decided to authorise Premier Ramadier to ask for a vote of confidence during a National Assembly debate on the Government’s economic policy. The vote will probably be taken on Monday.
