AFRICAN SOCCER TEAM ARRIVES IN NEW ZEALAND

AUCKLAND, June 19.

Five hours and three-quarters after leaving Sydney, a Skymaster plane carrying the South African soccer team arrived at Whenuapai to-day. The team, which will open a short tour of New Zealand with a match against Auckland on Saturday, was met by representatives of the New Zealand and Auckland Football Association?.

The date of the Springboks’ departure will probably be July 20. Neither the South African officials nor the players would discuss aspects of the tour of Australia. “That tour is over now”, was their attitude. There are 27 in the official party.
