CLASH OF FORM IN FOXTON CUP: MASTER ROBIN APPEALS
The Foxton Racing Club will hold its winter meeting on its home course to-morrow. The main event, the Foxton Cup, has drawn an excellent field. Most of the runners have recent form to recommend them, and everything points to a good day’s racing. Erin’s Pal can be classed as the most consistent horse at the meeting, having finished second in each of his last seven starts. His turn should come in the Moutoa Handicap. Betting will be win and place. The following horses appeal:— 11.0: Whirokino Hack and Hunters’ Steeples: Light Fair, Northland, Golden Tide. 11.42: Trial Stakes: Beguile, Shenandoah, Old Dooley. 12.22: Poroutawhare Hurdles: TidApa, Roto Parera, Bay Robe. 1.4: Second Trial Stakes: Open Road, Moreton Bay, Black Isle. 1.44: F'oxton Cup: Master Robin, Pram, Stoney Broke. 2.24: Moutoa Handicap: Erin’s Pal. Blackwater, Incision. 3.4; Kebbell Memorial Handicap: Drambuie,* Aiderman, Pellmeer. 3.44: Himatangi Handicap: Il Corona, Torino, Currency Lass.
