SYDNEY, April 28. The Premier, Mr. Jas. McGirr, stated that the Government, if re-elect-ed on Saturday, wil provide increased wages, 1,000 new ’buses and noiseless trams to relieve the traffic congestion in Sydney ajid Newcastle; educational reforms; decentralisation and modernisation of medical and health centres; and new institutions for tuberculosis sufferers. The Liberal Party leader, Mr. Vernon Treatt, makes housing the No. 1 priority, and promises to improve conditions and pay of trained staff in public hospitals. The Country Party leader, Mr. M. F. Bruxner, promised drastic review of the new Joint Coal Act, which placed control in the hands of a board.
