JAPAN’S ELECTIONS FOR STATES WON BY RIGHTISTS
(Rec. 10.10). TOKIO, May 2. The Independents and Conservatives were fax* ahead eax’ly this morning in the last of Japan’s elections, namely, that for the Prefectural Councils (State Legislatures). More than fourteen hundred seats have been decided. Following are the x*esults so far announced: — Party Seats Independents 482 Democrats 800 Liberal.'.' 255 Socialists 242 Minox* Parties Co-operatives T 4 The Communist Party’s candidates failed to gain any seat.
