N.Z.-Canadian Trade Revival Predicted

MONTREAL, March 17.

Mr J. A. Malcolm, the newly-ap-pointed New Zealand trade commissioner to Canada, predicted here today that although Canada and New Zealand still suffer from many shortages in certain materials, there will l?e a new era of trading between them. He pointed out that, while New Zealand and Canada wish to intensity their trade, there are many obstacles still to be overcome in the two countries before normal relations can be established on a full prewar basis. Mr Malcolm cited New Zealand’s difficulties regarding conversion from wartime to peace production, which, he said, has been sb wed, due to basic controls and lark of materials.
