YACHTING GREYMOUTH SEASON CONCLUDES: MASCOTTE TAKES TROPHY
On the concluding day of the 1946-47 season of the Greymouth Yacht Club, two races were sailed in favourable weather with a sou’westerly breeze. Results:— Crews Race (for F. Freitas’ Cup): — Salome (E. Patterson) 4min 1; Vagabond (R. Blacktopp jnr) 4min 2; Majestic (Miss E. Brown) scr. 3. Aurora Memorial Cup:— Vagabond (D. Hodgkinson) 41min. 1: Pastime (C. Dixon) smin 2: Salome (G. Messenger) Simin. 3.
Bellett Cup for the most points in open racing for the season, was yon by Mascotte, sailed by W. Longstaff.
