Bookmakers’ Phone To Radio Station Cut Off at Christchurch

P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, March 21. A direct telephone line between Station 3ZB and the Dominion Sportsmen’s Association was removed some weeks ago. This information was given to-day by the Station Director of 3ZB, Mr J. S. W. Stannage, who said that the station had not needed the line for some time. The removal of the line had been arranged by the Fost and Telegraph Department in Wellington, which had given instructions that it should be cut off at the main distribution panel at the chief post ollice.-
