In his annual report, the president said that although the senior team did not win any competitions, they played good football and moulded into a well-balanced side which was at all times treated with respect by other senior teams. Attendance at training was poor, there being room for much improvement on training evenings. He congratulated R. Hawes, J. Alexander, T. Hansby, J. Taylor, M. Taylor, M. Ryan, J. Stewart and T. Coyne on gaining representative honours.
The juniors, after a poor start, rallied and became a really good side. They were unlucky not to come out on top agaihst the crack Rover side on more than one occasion. The club had some very promising players. The juniors were fortunate in playing two visiting teams at Westport and also journeying to Hokitika to take part in games there.
A. Ellis as coach was to be commended for his keenness. He congratulated G. Parkinson, A. Walsh, L. Kearns, J. Colvin and G. Williamson on representing the club in the Buller juniors. He concluded his report by expressing the club’s deepest sympathy to the Scanlon, Holliss, O'Callaghan, O’Neill, Colvin, Ellis, McHerron, Dennehy and Eddy families, who had suffered bereavements during the year.
