The meals will be supplied by a local caterer at 9d each provided 30 pupils enrol. The board considered the scheme an excellent one, well worthy of a trial, and gave its approval. The secretary reported that no tenders were received for removal of the classroom at the old school site, Westport, and re-erection at Westport North School as an assembly hall. The matter was referred to Mr E. Fair for further enquiry re a tender.

It was reported that the inauguration of the school bus services at Karamea, to include Arapito and Kongahu pupils, had to be postponed for two months owing to inability to secure a bus.
