The National Mortgage and Agency Coy., Ltd. report on the above fixture held on Monday as follows:— There was a large yarding of cattle ) offered to a fair attendance of buyers. Competition for most of the lines offered was rather ’restricted due no doubt to the shortage of.feed iat this time of the year. However, practically the whole of the entry was disposed of at satisfactory prices. The following is a list of our principal sales: A/c. E. Ackland, 10 fat and forward 3yr. steers a 1 £l4 17s 6d ; a/c. W. McLaughlin, 1 2-year-old steer at £l2 17s 6d, 2 3-yr. old sheers at £11; a/c. C. Barrett, 8 3yr. steers at £lO, 11 2yr. steers at £7 17s 6d; 12 yearling steers at £5 12s 6d; a/c. F'red Fletcher, 1 bull at £5, 1 steer at £7, 5 runners from £3 2s 6d to £5 12s 6d; a/c. A. Scholefield, 1 heifer at £4 17s 6d; a/c. Messrs Hill Bros, (in conjunction with Messrs Dalgety and Coy., Ltd.) 2 fat bulocks at £lB 2s 6d, 8 ditto at £l4 17s 6d, 11 steers from £ll to £ll 15s, 2 at £B.
