ENGINES DERAILED
On Grey Wharf
Two shunting engines, one a W. type and the other an F.W. during shunting operations on the Greymouth wharf last evening at about 5.30 were derailed, when they were proceeding to a bottleneck at the noints in front of the old Watersiders’ Hall. The engines arrived at the points simultaneously and were both forced off the rails. One engine was pitched at an angle of forty-five degrees, the other remaining nearly upright. Only superficial damage was caused.
An “L” truck, behind the F.W. engine, on the line nearest the waterfront was telescoped by an L.A. iron wagon and was considerably damaged. The track was badly torn up fit the scene of the accident'. It was expected to have the lines cleared and repaired at an earlv hour this morning. None of the crews of the engines suffered any iniurv
