Westport Rifle Club
At the annual meeting of the Westport Defence Rifle Club the following officers were elected: President, Mr L. Hutchison; vice-presidents, Messrs G. N. Perkins, J. J. Rossiter, F. Mitchell and Captain S. L. Wood; secretary, Mr J. R. Keoghan; treasurer and custodian, Mr L. Hutchison; hon. auditor, Mr P. L. Struthers; handicapper, Mr A. L. Williams; postponement committee, Messrs Keoghan, Perkins and R. F. Marshall. The management committee was re-elected with the inclusion of R. F. Marshall.
The report and balance-sheet disclosed the club’s finances to bq in a sound position, and the president expressed the hope that with the reformation pf the Brunner and Greymouth Defence Rifle Clubs, the Elite Cup competition would once again be continued.
