DOMINION NEWS

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 15. A labourer employed by the Railways Department was killed instantly when he was run over by a rake of trucks opposite the Christchurch railway station at 7.25 a.m. to-day. He was Samuel Vaughan, aged 62, a widower, of Sydenham. Vaughan was taking the seals 'off a rake of trucks when the accident occurred. He had been working on the railways for over 20 years and was to retire at the end of the month.
