Stock Exchange jobbers and the investing public yesterday lost about ten millions sterling in Orange Free State golamining issues. It was one of the worst days on the London Stock Exchange since the 'interest in these Free State gold ventures was first aroused, says l the Daily Express financial correspondent. Six of the top • Rank Free State speculations all sagged. •“Freddies” (shares in the Orange Free State Development Investment. Corporation) slumped eleven shillings and threepence. Shares in “Ofsits” (Orange x Free State Investments Coy) slumped five shillings and sevenpence. Western Holdings slumped seven shillings and sixpence. Othei’ slumps were: Saint Helpa, three shillings; Lydenburg, seven shillings and sixpence; West , Driefontein three shillings and ninepence. The total approximate loss for these mines was six millions 280 thousand sterling.
