WEST COAST UNION The weekly meeting of the West Coast Management Committee was held in the Old Boys’ Rooms last evening, Mr F. Baillie, presiding, and also present being Messrs R. Bunt,_ O. Scott, W. Blair, H. Longstafi H. Webster, R. Nelson, A. Agnew, M. Jamieson, A. Lindbom and O. McLean (secretary). A motion of condolence in the death of Dr McKay was passed, members standing as a mark of respect. It was decided to play the McLean Shield match at Hokitika on September 14, between Celtic and Kokatahi. Permission was granted Elaketown juniors to play Old Boys and Rovers at Westport. Mr R. Chisholm was elected manager of .the West Coast junior team and Mr W. Blair manager of the Buller junior team. The selectors were instructed to select a junior representative team to play Buller at Westport on -September 14. Messrs R. Quinn and R. Honey were elected managers. Celtic Club were declared winners of the senior competition. FIXTURES. Week-end fixtures were arranged as follows: — Senior: Celtic v. Star, Park No. 1, 1.30 p.m. (A. Fong); ißlaketown v. Cobden, Park N'o. 2, 3 p.m. (E. Harding) ; United a bye. Junior Reps: West Coast v. Buller, Park No. 1, 3 p.m. (R. Bunt). Third Grade: Blaketown v. Teen. A, 1.30 (A. Lindbom). Fourth Grade: Star v. Celtic, Park No. 2, 10.30 a.m. (R. Ferguson); Sydenham (Christchurch) v. Cobden, Park No. 2, 1.30 (A. King). CANTERBURY TEAM CHOSEN The following team has been selected to represent Canterbury against Otago at Dunedin next Saturday: — Backs. —E. Lucre; W. P. McHugh, G. Bolton, G. A. Drummond; P. Kearney, J. R. Roach; P. B. Vincent. Emergencies: R. Monigatti and C. Rowlands. Forward's. —G. Bond, P. Gilmour, P. K. R'hind, R. H. Duff, J. Carroll, F. Hobbs, B. G. Miles, and M. Henderson. Emergencies: A. P. Lee and K. Rain Among the players not available for the match were P. Callanan, W. G. Argus, R. S. Thompson and D. Herman.
