POWER SUPPLY

North Island Increase NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 27. An increased allocation of power is to be made available to all electricity supply authorities from Thursday, according to advice received to-night from the Dominion controller, Mr -F. T. M. Kissel. Mr Kissel said the increase would, amount to about three per cent., and it would be a reversion to the quotas allocated last December. At least two cuts had been made since December, one in March and one in May. Seme of the power boards, however, had been using much more than their allocations, and their consumption almost amounted to that allowed under the new quotas.
