KAIMAI HELD UP
Four of Crew Leave P.A. WELLINGTON, August 23. The Union Company’s vessel Kaimai was held up in Wellington on Thursday night as the result of a crew dispute. She did not get away until this afternoon. The Kaimai was* down to sail at 8 p.m. on Thursday, but just before that hour, some members of the crew refused to sail until a complaint was dealt with by the Seamen’s Union. Representatives of the Union discussed the matter with the men concerned to-day. Eventually two seamen and two firemen left the ship. Replacements were found. The Kaimai got away at 2 p.m. As a result of the delay, one day has been lost. The time lost by the Kaimai so far this year as the result of hold-ups over crew trouble totals' several weeks.
