ARRESTS IN ROUMANIA
US.A. ALLEGES COMMUNIST DESPOTISM.
WASHINGTON, August 10 Diplomatic officials have reported that the United States has protested to the Communist-dominated Koumanian Government against the detention or the attempted detention, of Roumanian citizens who are employed by the United States Military and Political Missions in Bucharest. The officials have expressed the opinion that these arrests are part of the attempts being made by the Roumanian Government to smash the democratic political opposition m the country. —
