EAST GERMANY

COMMUNIST DOMINATION BERLIN, June 23. The newspaper “Tagliche Rundschau,” published by the Russian authorities in Berlin, violently attacks Dr. Schumacher, Chairman of the Social Democratic Party in the western zones, for his speech on June 20, in which he -said there would not be talk of free elections in the Russian zone while the Social Democrats were unable to take part. The newspaper said: “The occupying powers cannot allow irresponsible persons like Dr. Schumacher to invite * German people to disobedience. It is assumed’ that a stop will be put to Dr. Schumacher’s provocative activity.”
