LARGE INVESTMENTS AT REEFTON The contribution to National Savings by Reefton last week was £1,025 16s, a sum almost equal to the district quota, and over 14 times the Reefton quota. Greymouth obtained a surplus of £442 3s. The only office below its quota was Runanga, where amounts are usualy lodged at intervals from the State Mines group. Investments for the district totalled £2,495 12s lOd, a surplus of £1,532 12s lOd over the district’s' ten offices, with the amount of surplus shown in parentheses, were: Reef ton £1,025 16s (£952 16s); Greymouth £962 3s (£442 3s); Blackball £96 7s 6d (£47 7s 6d); Brunnerton £9O 6s Id (£4O 6s Id); Otira £33 7s (£23 7s'); Waiuta £45 15s (£2O 15s); Hokitika £lB9 10s (£4 10s); Ross £26 10s. (£1 10s); Kumara £25 18s 3d (18/3d); Runanga £73 5s 4d (deficit £26 14s 8d).
