SERIOUS ELECTRICITY SHORTAGE.
F.A. WELLINGTON, March 6. Unless there is an unexpected and a material change for the better, no hope of any relaxation next week of the recent restriction on the consumption of electric power is seen by the General ’Manager of Wellington City Council Electricity Department, Mr. L. B. Hutton. “We may even be a little worse off,” he said to-night. “At the moment we are just struggling along. A reduction in voltage would inevitably cause some inconvenience in industry, by slowing up process, but there had been little complaint.
