GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION

REJECTS FACT-FINDING VERDICT

WASHINGTON', March 4.

General Motors Corporation has rejected the United Automobile workers’ proposal for arbitration on the wage's issue. Mr Truman’s FactFinding Board recommended an increase of 221 cents an hour. The corporation rejected this and offered 181 cents. The corporation proposed that, the strikers hold a secret ballot on the issue of returning to work. The union says the corporation’s refusal to arbitrate proves its case is weak. The strike is over one hundred days’ Old.
