VOTING IN RUSSIA

ALMOST UNANIMOUS LONDON, Feb. 14 The results of the Soviet elections published to-day, show a 99.8 per cent, vote for the Communist and non-party bloc candidates, states the Exchange Telegraph’s Moscow correpsondent. Only in the Lithuanian, Latvian and Esontian republics did the electors cast less than 99 per cent, of their votes for bloc candidates.

Women elected numbered 273 out of a total of 1339 deputies, compared with 228 women in the 1937 elections.

Famous war loaders elected to the Supreme Soviet included: Marshals Zhukov, Timoshenko, Voroshilov, Rokossovsky, Budenny and Ixoniev. The London Ambassador, Mr. Gusev, and the United Nations delegation leader, Mr. Vyshinsky, were also elected.
