LONDON', February 14
Lord Burghley, Chairman of the British Olympic Council, announced that the Olympic Games would be held in London in the Summer of 1948, with full Government approval. (Rec. 9.30) NEW YORK, Feb. 15 Germany and Japan will not be invited to compole at. the 1948 Olympic Games at London and the status of Italy is still doubtful, said Mr. William Garland, a member of the American Olympic Committee. "Ivussia will compete for the first time, and South American countries are planning to send large teams.”
