LINER QUEEN ELIZABETH (Rec. 11.50) LONDON, Jan. 28. The “Daily Mail” stated: The liner Queen Elizabeth will complete her last war job, the taking of American servicemen home —within two months. She will then have six months for an overhaul and refit, and by the autumn will be ready for luxury passenger traffic. Furnishings and fittings that were removed in Australia, where the liner’s conversion for troop-carrying was completed, have all been shipped back to Britain, will now be replaced.
