BOY BURNED IN TENT FIRE DUNEDIN, Jan. 4 Campers in the Alexandra Borough camping ground had an alarming experience about 11 o’clock last night, when a tent occupied by the McQuillan family, of Gore, was badly d'amaged by fire and their son, Harry, aged 12, received such severe burns that he was immediately taken to the Dunedin Hospital, where’ he will be an inmate; for about six- weeks, suffering from severe shock and burns. A young sister who was asleep in the tent was rescued without injury. It appears that the boy, Harry, was making supper for the family and was filling a petrol stove with fuel 'when it became enveloped ip. flames and set fire to the tent. A bucket brigade quickly had the outbreak under control and removcu the danger of the fire spreading other camping allotments.
