SYDNEY, Jan. 2 New South Wales won the interstate cricket match against Queensland by an innings and 115 runs. New South Wales declared at nine wickets down for 552 runs. Queensland’s second innings closed for 260 (Brown, captain, 48; McCool 62). AUCKLAND DEFEAT OTAGO P.A. DUNEDIN, Jan. 3 In the Plunket Shield match, which concluded to-day, Auckland defeated Otago on the first innings by 90 runs. The Auckland' total was 473, the principal additional contributors being V. J. Scott 167, R. W. Emery 110. Bowling for Otago, C. F. Allcott took 3 for 91, and R. Silver 3 for 110. At stumps Otago in the second innings had lost none for seventeen.
