SAIGON, October 3.

An agreement to cease fire was reached at a meeting between the French authorities in Indo-China and the- Annamese independence movement.

Major-General Gracey received the Nationalist leaders for a two hour conference. The Nationalist leaders will confer to-morrow with the French authorities. Saigon at present is comparatively quiet.
