The West Coast weather report and forecast are as follows:— General situation: A weak trough is moving off the North Island, while another trough advances across the south Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. on Saturday: Variable winds, with north-easterlies freshening n the south. Weather: Cloudy with scattered rain, which is becoming more general in the south. Temperatures: Moderate. Further outlook: Unsettled.
