JUMP ON BERLIN
AMERICANS FULFILL PLEDGE The United States Eighty-second’ Airborne Division fulfilled its pledge that on one day in peace, or in war, it would jump on Berlin. A group of ninety-one officers and men, mostly veterans of North Africa, Sicily, and Anzio, parachuted from planes on to a potato patch in Berlin’s Neukoln district.
