MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. The Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union met last evening. Blaketown Club wrote regarding the cancellation of lower grade fixtures when senior representative games are being played in Greymouth. After full consideration, it. was decided that, in drawing up future fixtures, due consideration would be given to the club’s representations. , x The Secretary reported that Mrs. McGlashan had donated two flood lamps for installation on the new stand at Rugby Park, and it was resolved that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mrs. McGlashan for her generous donation. It was decided to express to Mr. Lindbom appreciation of services rendered by him to the UnionArrangements for the West Coast v. Buller match in Westport on Saturday were made as follows: —Captain, R. Birchfield; Vice-Captain, M. Thomas; Manager, Mr. T. Mclntosh. The team will leave the Post Office, Greymouth, at 8 a.m. _ on Saturday, and selectors will be invited to accompany the team. Mr. H. Mason was appointed manager of the Greymouth team to travel to Hokitika next Saturday. J. Nolan was appointed captain of the Greymouth team and K. Horrack vice-captain.

Fixtures for Saturday were approved as follows:—

Representative: West Coast v. Buller, at Westport; Greymouth v. Hokitika, at Hokitika.

Junior: Blaketown v. Cobden, No. 1, Park, at 1.30 p.m. (R. Ferguson) ; Celtic, a bye. Third Grade: Cobden v. Technical, Park, No. 1, 3 p.m. (G. Strode); Blaketown v. Celtic, Park, No. 2,< 1.30 t?.m. (A. King).. Fourth Grade: Star-United v. Technical, Technical ground, 1.30 p.m. i N. Eggleton); Technical A v. Celtic, Park, No. 2, 3 p.m. (C. Dittman); Technical, a bye. GREYMOUTH TEAM CHOSEN The following Greymouth team uas been chosen to play Westland at Plokitika on Saturdav next:— Backs: R. Fitzgerald; N. Lawson. R. Wright, R. Nelson; J. Nolan, G. Davidson; K. Horrack. Forwards: K. Tomlinson, D. McKendry, Krawkosky D. Inwood, A. Smith, H. Cloak, A. Garforth; J. Hagan. Reserves: Backs, McDonald, J. Fitzgerald; forwards. Webster, Lambert. A. Thompson is not available lor the West Coast team to travel to Westport because of an injuerd hand. Sinclair will now go into the te.nni and J. Smith (Blaketown) will be an emergency forward. AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL SYDNEY, July 10 Professional footballers who have, played Rugby Union during tneir war service may be permitted to play that code if thev desire on tjieil- - from the- Services.
