BOOKM FINED P.A. • WELLINGTON, June 27. Huia Asmonde, a' storeman, aged 30, pleaded guilty at the' Magistrate’s Court to bookmaking. Detective-Sergeant Compton, prosecuting, said the records showed that while accused had been bookmaking he had taken £lO,OOO in bets and received £6OO in commission. The evidence would have shown that accused received Is 6d in the £ commission, and had been bookmaking for the past three years. Accused was ‘fined £lOO.
