N.Z. LABOUR CAUCUS

Mr Fraser’s Work at U.N.C.1.0, MEMBERS EXPRESS PRIDE WELLINGTON, June 26. The caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party was held to-day. The acting-Prime Minister (Mr Nash) presided. Resolutions were passed expressing sympathy with Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitomo, in the death of his wife; with Mr P. Neilson, M.P. for Dunedin Central, in the death of his wife; with Mrs Munro in the death of her husband, Mr J. W. Munro, M.P. for Duned'in North; and with Mrs Findlay in the death of Mr F. Findlay, who was M.P. for Hamilton.

Reference was also made to Government members at present on the sick list: Hon. P. C. Webb (Minister of Mines), Messrs R. Coulter (Raglan), C. H. Chapman (Wellington North) and T. P. Paikea (Northern Maori).. Good wishes were extended to them and the hope was expressed that they would soon recover their health and be back again in their place in the House. Mr Nash also stated the caucus expressed pride in the great work done by the Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) at the United Nations Conference at San Francisco on behalf of all peace-loving nations, and in particular as the representative of New Zealand. A resolution embodying these sentiments was adopted. The caucus adjourned until tomorrow. '
