BRUNNER NOTES

The Voluntary workers of the Dobson Hall have been making the most of the good weather and are making good progress. Mr Benney (Undersecretary for Mines) paid a visit to. the job and congratulated the men on their effort. Afternoon tea is now being served and is very much appreciated. Anyone with a knowledge of carpentering would be very welcome at this stage but will have to accept the same salary as the other workers. The committee remind the people of Brunner that it is intending to run a monster bazaar and spring flower show about the end of October and although we think that the Dobson blooms with the additional sunshine, will be hard to beat we are confident that Taylorville will put up a good show. Pte. A. Bernard who recently, returned from overseas has left for Auckland.
