Messrs L. Anderson and J. Wylie, left by yesterday morning’s plane for Nelson.
Hon. A. McLagan (Minister of Manpower) left yesterday, morning for Christchurch.
Mr. C. IT. Bonney (Under Secretary of Mines) left yesterday morning for Westport.
Mr. R. C. Steele, shunter, Railways Department, Greymouth, leaves on Monday on transfer to Invercargill.
Sgt. Fred Hickey, 2nd N.Z.E.F'., Rotorua, who has been visiting Grey? mouth, left by yesterday afternoon’s rail-car for Reefton. Sgt. Hickey is a nephew of the late Mr. H. Hickey, a former well-known horse trainer of Hawke’s Bay.
To mark the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the late Rt. Hon. Richard John Seddon, Hon. W. Nash, on behalf of the Government, and the people of New Zealand, will lay a wreath on the Seddon statute in Parliament ground at Wellington tomorrow.—P.A.

The death has occurred at Nelson of Mr Edward James Thomas, a son of the late Mr and Mrs J'. G. Thomas, o.f “Fernhill”, Greymouth. Deceased followed his father as principal of the drapery business of Thomas and McBeath, Mawhera Quay, Greymouth, but had lived in Nelson for .many years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. F. C. Wade (Christchurch) and Mrs. Allison (Wellington).
The death .occurred, yesterday morning, at the Grey River Hospital of Mr. Joseph Edward Lloyd, aged 74 years. He had been ill during the past three months, was a native of Australia, and had resided at Kotuku for the past 20 years. He retired 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Hudson (Christchurch), Mrs. O. Hay (Kotuku), and Mrs. J. F. Molloy (Cobden). The funeral will take place at Karoro on Friday.
