GENERAL CABLES

LONDON, June 17. The Ministry of Health, launching a new campaign to persuade parents to immunise their children against diphtheria, reveals that during the war 8,000 children under the age of 15 years lost their lives as a result of bombs, whereas 9,000 died of diphtheria. More than 5,000,000 children have been immunised, but 3,000.000 remain unprotected. ■
