MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING Mr T. Mclntosh presided at last evening’s meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union. _ The president, who was manager ot the West Coast representative team which visited Christchurch on Saturday, gave his report, and referred particularly to the hospitality extended to the team. It was decided to write the Canterbury Union expressing the Union’s appreciation. It was reported that an Air Force team would visit Greymouth later in the season to play a match for R.S.A. funds. . n The selectors were instructed to select the Coast team next Saturday evening to play Bullei’ on June 30. On that evening the Buller team will be entertained at a dance in the United Pavilion. The third grade selectors will als& select next Saturday evening, the third grade rep. team to play Hokitika on June 30. - Fixtures for Saturday are as fol- • lows:— ' ’ , Senior: Blaketown v. Celtic, Park No. 1, 3 p.m. (N. Eggleton); StarUnited v. Hokitika, Park No. 2, 2.45 p.m. (M. Seebeck); St. Mary’s v. Ruatapu, at Hokitika (J'. Minchin); Cobden Seniors v. Cobden Juniors, at Cobden, 3 p.m. (R. Ferguson). Junior: Celtic v. Blaketown, Park ' No. 1, 1.30 p.m. (G. Strode). Third grade: Cobden v. Celtic, at Cobden, 1.30 p.m. (C. C'ockburn); Technical v. Blaketown, Tech, ground, 1.30 (J. B. Hogarth). Fourth grade: Star-United v. Celtic, Park No. 2, 1.30 (A. King); Tech. B v. Tech. C, Tech, ground, 3 p.m. (E. O. Harding). WESTLAND SUB-UNION The Westland Rugby Sub-Union at its weekly meeting approved of conditions for the administration of an accident fund, Messrs G. Rich and R'. James being appointed to take charge - of it. It was decided to pay a subsidy of 10s to each school in. the district toward obtaining footballs, application to be made to the Union secretary. ■ St. Mary’s Club was given authority to arrange a match with a visiting team. It was r.esolved not to admit children to the pavilion and to write the heads of the schools in regard to danger to children at the pavilion. School . team . was granted permission to travel to ■ Grey on Wednesday. Appreciation was expressed of the assistance be- - ing given to the Union by the local . Red Cross ..Society. Senior matches, ; next Saturday are: Ruatapu v. St. 'Mary’s, 2.45 (J'. Minchin); KiwiExcelsior v. Star-United, No. 2 ground Greymouth, 2.45 (M. Seebeck). Third ’ grade: St. Mary’s v. School at 1.30. The Westland third grade representatives to play Greymouth reps, on Saturday, June 30 are: Backs—Wallace, Cloher, Cropp, Young, Breeze, . Stoop, Ryan, Mitchell, Lynch and • McLellan. Forwards —Ross, Smith, Upjohn, Gugich, Duncan, Shearer, Weiblitz, Parker, Davern, Millner’ and Wilson. The team will play at match with a local team at Woodstock next Sunday afternoon.
