Opera House Finally to-night: “Squadron Leader X.” Next attraction (commences to-morrow Friday): "Underneath The Arches” and “.Niagara Falls.” "NIAGARA FALLS” Teeming with high comedy and thrilling romance, Hal Roach’s newest stream-lined comedy, “Niagara Falls,” with Marjorie Woodworth, Tom Brown, Zasu Pitts, Slim Summerville, Ed Gargan and Margaret Roach in the top stellar roles, commences at the Opera Flouse to-mor-row (Friday). Briefly, the story of "Niagara Falls” revolves around the adventures and misadventures of a pair of attratcive but squabbling youngsters who are not married. Through the superfluous interference of another well meaning couple who have tied the knot late in life, the youngsters find themselves together in the bridal suite of the hotel. How this comedy situation is finally unravelled provides “Niagara Falls” with a series of many laugh-packed episodes which race to a smackeroo climax. "UNDERNEATH THE ARCHES”

The hilarious comedy extravaganza “Underneath The Arches’’ starring Flanagan and Allen commences at the Opera House to-mor-row (Friday). Characteristically, the story features the Kings of Crazy Comedy as ship stowaways who finally achieve military ominence in the Ruritanian revolution. Their singing of “Underneath the Arches” and the catchy song hits turns a peace conference into a riot, which will have you laughing for months to come.

Finally To-night: "A Lady Takes a Chance.” Commencing Friday: "Lost Angel,” starring Margaret O’Brien, James Craig and Marsha Hunt.

Margaret O’Brien, who brought a lump to the throats of millions of picture-goers in “Journey For Margaret,” is now to be seen in her first starring role in “Lost Angel,” commencing at the Regent; Theatre on Friday. Margaret plays a foundling who is raised according to formula by a group of scientists as a prodigy. At six she is appealing and wistful, and so intelligent that she makes reporter James Craig shudder 'when he comes’to interview her. He finds her weakness though. Margaret wants to see magic. Craig shows it to her, and then falls under the spell of her’ own brand of magic. For he learns to love the tot, and because of his love realises he must settle down and assume his burden of responsibility This not only makes Margaret hannv but makes Marsha Hunt, Craig’s sweetheart change her mind aboS not marrying him.
