I Our Own Correspondent] Mr. Keith Ross, Hokitika, is spending a holiday here, and is among the guests at the Royal Hotel. The opening of the shooting season was ushered in with fine weather. Plenty of ducks and swans were available. A Greymouth party is reported to have secured 18 between them. The sea during the past few days has been rough, consequently residents have been unable to secure fresh fish V-E Day was fittingly celebrated at Okarito, in keeping with other parts of South Westland. I 1 lags, bunting, and greenery were displayed and all expressed their, pleasure at’ the conclusion of the 'European war.
