LONDON BLACKOUT

TO END. ■~RUGBY, April 19. The “black-out” under which Britain has suffered for nearly six years, is to end next Monday, except for a belt approximately five miles deep around the coast. Mr Morrison, Minister of Home Security, told the Commons that all restrictions would be removed, apart from the coastal area, where a full “black-out” would be observed on some parts of the coast and a dim out” in others. When asked if the light on the top of Eig Ben would be restored to mark the sittings of Parliament, Mr. Morrison said that if the House were sitting on Monday he would switch it on himself.
