CHINESE SUCCESS. (Rec. 11.10.) CHUNGKING, April 21. A Chinese communique says: Chinese forces pushed the Japanese back eighteen miles from Chihkiang, eliminating the bulk of the enemy, and now are engaging remnants 25 miles west of Paoching. U.S. 14th. Air Force fighters blasted .strongpoints in twenty-eight missions in the Paoching area. A fierce battle is raging in the suburbs of Shensien, in the west of Honan Province. Chinese hold three-fourths of Tayingsih, six miles south-west of Shensien. (Rec. 10.10). CHUNGKING, April 21. Chinese destroyed enemy spearheads menacing Chingkiang.
