Leading elements ' captured Boccaleone, advancing 1 northward. Eighth Army troops elsewhere consolidated newly-won gains. Fifth Army forces south-west of Bologna, continued to drive through difficult terrain. South Africans east of the Reno River, made further gains. American infantry, after a twodays’ battle up steep slopes, captured Monte Adone and Monte Frati. Other Fifth Army troops astride the Florence-Bologna road, substantially progressed. _____
