Outside staff have been engaged on general maintenance in various districts, states the engineer to the Grey Electric Power Board (Mr. Sinclair Trotter) in his report for the period March 17 to April 14. Low tension distribution for co-operative mines have been overhauled in the Dunollie area and a new outdoor transformer erected at Spark and Party’s mine. The power crossing over the Grey River at Omoto has been re-arranged at the Omoto end to avoid a slip. Work has been started in the north end of Reefton to link up sufficient consumers and the dairy factory to relieve the company’s load until such time as'the Board takes over.
