Progress on Three Islands (Rec. 11.0.) WASHINGTON, Mar. 21. “Our ground forces in New Guinea moving' eastward towards Wewak, have occupied the But aerodrome, and the wharf area. Our ground forces in South Bougainville, are closely contacting the enemy forces in the Puriata' River area. Several of the enemy positions have been cleared in the face of stiff opposition. Our troops in New Britain are pushing back enemy forces in the Waitavalo plantation area. Air units a re supporting'the operations.
