WORLD T.U. CONFERENCE

APPEAL FOR UNITY LONDON, Feb. 26. The world Trade Union conference in a manifesto to peoples of the world, expresses the movement’s determination to work, with like-minded peoples, to achieve a complete victory over the Fascist powers, to establish enduring peace, and to promote international economic collaboration which will permit of natural resources being used for the benefit of all peonies, thus providing full employment, rising standards 'of living, and social security. The manifesto called _on organised workers to spare no effort to supply the armed forces with the needs and to continue to make every necessary sacrifice for victory. It emphasises the new world Trade Union organisation, which, it says, can speak with authority on declared objectives, and through which the movement can claim a share in determining questions of 'peace and postwar settlement, also representation at peace conferences, international conferences, and peace agencies, beginning with San Francisco. It says: “Peace will be worthy of the sacrifices by which it is won only, if it reflects free peoples’ resolve interests, desires and needs. We therefore send forth from the world conference this appeal to all the world’s workers, and to all men and women of goodwill, to concentrate to the building of a better world, the service, and sacrifice they have given to the winning 'of the war.”
