SWIMMING
(Rec. 7.50.) NEW YORK, Feb. 17. Alan Ford established a world’s record for the hundred yards freestyle of forty-nine and four-tenths seconds in a twenty-yard pool. The previous record was forty-nine and eighttenths seconds, established by Weissmuller, in 1928. 1
