SOVIET AND POLAND

TRANSFER OF DEFENDED BY LONDDN PAPER. (Rec. 5.5). LONDON, November 29. The Daily Express, in a leading article, says: The resignation of the Polish Premier (M. Mikolajczyk) has caused some who were w'hispering critics of Russia to start shouting. They are trying to make the people of Britain share their 1 , doubt and suspicion regarding Russia’s motives and policy towards her neighbours in Eastern Europe. Britain, Russia, and America will have been chiefly responsible in winning the second world war. On them will rest the blame if Germany is able to carry out plans for a third world war. Each of the Great Powers has; a right and a duty to establish bastions for sustaining future peace. _ It is a' perfectly proper and realistic viewpoint for the Russians to consider adjustments to the frontiers of Poland, Finland, and elsewhere, giving them protection against sudden attack.
